Free Artists on Film Event

Digswell Arts Trust on Film: 50th Anniversary 1957 - 2007

Digswell Arts Trust are pleased to show for the first time a screening of timeless films/footage that captures the diversity of art work that has been made by various artists (fellows) over the past 50 years.

The Trust has been researching into their history as part of their 50th anniversary celebrations, successfully funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Amongst the findings include a collection of documentaries, artist made surrealism film, artists interviews and community focused news clips, National Film and TV Archive materials and Anglia TV regional news footage.

This event will provide an ideal opportunity of students studying Art and Design at GCSE or AS/A2 and those with an interest in the visual arts and in Digswell itself to view and engage with local and nationally renowned artists as they present their works. The catalogue of works featuring John Mills, Peter Collingwood, Sarah Evans and Anthony Slinn will prove to be as stimulating and as challenging as ever. This event will include introductions by various renowned and featured artists.
